I am programming in vb.net.
I have two buttons and a text box on a form. When I click the first button, I want the program to start counting, and displaying the count in the text box.
When I click the SECOND button, I want the program to stop counting. So there, I set a boolean switch that the counting routine looks at. If the switch is on, the program will stop counting. The problem is, I have to hit the second button TWICE to get it to execute. What am I doing wrong? Experts, please help?

Before you start your counting loop, set the focus to the second button.
Cheers.
